1. I love being married because its fun spending life with someone. Bryan has a way of calming me when I'm stressed but also making me angry in the most irritating ways but I love it. I know that at the end of the day when he comes home from work, I am going to get the best hug in the world!
2. A time that mama knew best was when she told me that I can not worry about anything I can not change, like rising gas prices, the weather, or the challenges of growing up. God will provide.
3. My first kiss went a little like this - embarrassing enough, sorry Kristin, my friends brother. Truth or Dare.And, for the record, HE definitely kissed me.
4. My celebrity crush is Bradly Cooper. He's handsome, smart, speaks french......what else could a girl ask for?!?
5. My splurge of choice is music. I could sit and indulge for hours.
6. My biggest accomplishment is - actually will be, my degree. I have two years left and am into my core classes (yay, no more gen eds).
7. My dance jam of choice is any thing Black Eyes Peas - especially when cleaning. They're my go to band when I'm getting down & cleaning this place! That and spice girls (guilty pleasure, shhhh....don't tell).

It's Been Too Long!
I can not believe that I have neglected our blog for so long, so many things have been going on that I don't know which way I am going some times.
The last time I blogged Jewels was 8 months old! 8 Months! Now she is 20 months going on 14! I can not believe that my little girl is going to be 2 in June, it's gone by way too fast! She is so smart and is mocking everything we do! Then other day she picked up her bag of big plastic blocks and said "OH My Goodness!" I never realized how much I say that until she started saying it! She talks so much! She knows all the elements of her face including chin and forehead but her favorite is cheeks! I am so proud of her.
Being we've been in our house for a year and a half I finally decided to paint. Jewels room is now purple and I love it! I also went to Ikea and found her a chandelier to replace the light she has in there now. I can't wait to finish it so I can post pictures.
Bry and I are doing good. With the Lenten season upon us we attended mass on Ash Wednesday and pledged our sin we are giving up for the season. Its like a burden has been lifted off my shoulders, even though its something so frivolous. I can't wait to see what is in store. I Thank God everyday that I have found a Christian man that believes in the same God I do. What a blessing!
I better tend to my daughter as she is telling me its nap time.

Eight Months Old...
Our little girl is 8 months old! Wow time flies!

For Valentines Day I made her a red and white tutu and a head band. She was so adorable, I just couldn't help but take several, hundred, pictures of her.
Jewels has 8 teeth, that's right, eight. She loves her some mum-mums! Babies r us is my favorite store! They have rice rusks that are called mum-mums and Jewels is in love! Before she was born I wanted to make her food but with working full time and going to school full time and Bry working nights, there is no time in my day to make ALL her food. I do feed her green beans, whole and carrots, apples, and bananas. She has excellent hand-eye coordination and has for several months now. She likes to feed herself but of course we feed her baby food too. Typically we feed her organic baby foods from Babies r us, they have a couple brands that come in foil-ish packets that have a twist top and when on the go she can eat right from the package! I also the the Earths Best line in the jars. Jewels is being raised vegetarian, I never realized how many baby foods there are with meat, ick! Bry and I don't really eat hardly any meat, if we do it is chicken (that's a long story, but I'd be more then happy to discuss our countries food industry any day). Jewels is up from her nap so I better run.....will update soon!

It's About Time....
.....that I finally make a post! You'll have to forgive me, life has been crazy! Right after I returned to work after maternity leave I was promoted. Then school resumed. Thank God for Bryan's mom, she is a life saver. She babysits for us 4 days a week, Bryan works nights and I work days so she babysits while he sleeps, Thankfully we have our days off together so we do get to spend a day together. Which brings me to my next subject, work, ugh. I hate my job. I hate my job. I hate job. Currently trying to find a way to make money and be able to stay home with Jewels. Bryan works for the Bureau of Prisons but is trying to moving into a different division and when he does he will be making more money therefore something part time would be fantastic!!! Enough about us, lets talk about Jewels....
.....She will already be 7 months on the 25th!! I can not believe she is growing up so fast! She sits up on her own, rolls all over the place, and blows raspberries and absolutely LOVES peek-a-boo. I love her little laugh!
She had her 6 month appointment after Christmas, she weighed 17lbs and is 27 inches. Depends on the style of clothes she is in 6-9 months! At first we were going to make her food and did but then discovered the awesome variety of organic baby food at Babies-R-Us. I think I have more fun with the food selection then she does. They have all kinds and its so fun for her to discover the different flavors, however, we are Chick-a-terian's and are not giving her any meat. When she is older we will discuss giving her chicken but nothing for a while. It's just gross. Jewels loves all fruits and veggies, except for this "Summer Vegetable Dinner" from Earth's Best that she can not stand (it contains corn, garbanzo beans, zucchini, green beans, and carrots). It was funny to see her face when she ate it. She loves peas, green beans, bananas, apricots, peaches, pears, etc.
I was reading a baby book and it says to introduce no more then 4oz a day of juice. The first day I gave her juice I forgot to dilute it and she gave us many presents the next day! I was like "what is going on?" then remembered about the juice. Now I give her a diluted amount of juice. The problem is is that the book said to introduce juice in a sippy cup so that the baby knows she gets juice from a sippy cup and formula from a bottle. I have bought two different types/brand of sippy cups b/c she drowns herself with juice. The package says it allows the child to control the amount of fluid that comes out and the book says the child will eventually get used to the flow but man, I hate to see her cover herself in juice everyday. It will come, I suppose.
